Imago Dei (pronounced: ee-MAH-go day) is Latin for "Image of God." Our name reminds us that we are made in the image and likeness of God...therefore, we are loved by our God (Genesis 1:26-27).

Imago Dei was established to meet a need in the Church for support of Catholic lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender persons (LGBTQ) and their families and friends.  LGBTQ persons have been made to feel that they are unwelcome in the Church and in the Heart of God.

Rather than leaving the Roman Catholic Church, as so many have, we must be a positive example within it.  We are here for those LGBTQ persons who are still celebrating their Catholic faith and for those who long to return.

We are also here for families & friends wanting to understand and support their loved one(s) who are LGBTQ.

Financial Support.  Imago Dei has gotten its funds to operate from various sources. We benefit from member and supporter donations. Since 2004, we have been the recipient of grants from the Thomas A. Plein and John Kish Foundations. All our finances are managed through Christ the King Catholic Community.

If you wish to make a donation to Imago Dei, make out checks to: Christ the King.  Please note that it is for Imago Dei.  Thank you!

Please pray for us as we humbly build this ministry and continue its mission with the blessings of our Bishop, the intercession of our Blessed Mother, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
